How to reach us
From Málaga airport it is around 70 kilometres and about an hour to the Villa Lorena.
The Villa Lorena lies around 70 kilometres east of Málaga, a few minutes' drive above Nerja and immediately next to Frigiliana. From the airport it is about an hour.
By air
The nearest airport is Málaga-Costa del Sol (AGP), reachable directly from Germany all year round. From there it is around 70 kilometres to the villa, almost entirely via the A-7 motorway heading east.
From the airport to the villa
By car
About an hour
Hire car, taxi or a transfer booked in advance: the journey time is practically the same for all three. What differs is the cost and whether you have a car once you are here.
We recommend a hire car. The villa sits above the village among plantations. There is no supermarket or restaurant within walking distance, and you will want a car for the beaches and days out as well. Without one you depend on a taxi for every errand, which over a week usually costs more than the hire.
All the major companies are represented at Málaga airport. There is a parking space on the property.
By bus and train
Two to two and a half hours
The Cercanías train from the airport into central Málaga, then the ALSA coach to Nerja, and from there the local bus or a taxi up to Frigiliana.
Inexpensive, but tiring with luggage and several changes. The final stretch up to the villa is not one to walk. And the same applies to the stay itself: without a vehicle it becomes awkward.
Journey times are guide values without heavy traffic. In high season and at rush hour around Málaga it can take noticeably longer.
The last few kilometres
The villa is on the Cam. de la Era above Frigiliana. The access route runs along a narrow country road through avocado and mango plantations. It is surfaced and passable with any ordinary car, but winding and in places single-track.
You will find the exact position on the Location & surroundings page. The GPS coordinates are 36.795212, -3.9134035. We recommend entering them into your satnav before setting off, because the address alone is not reliably found everywhere.

Shopping on the way
In Nerja there are several supermarkets on the way to the villa. It is worth buying the essentials there for the first evening before you drive up.
